11R fully engaged in all activities over the week. We examined what mental health was and addressed any misconceptions. We spent time looking at fixed and growth mindsets and what it looked/felt like for others as well as ourselves. We discussed scenarios of when we had used our growth mindset and what had enabled us to do this.
11R discussed what aspects we might struggle with and we looked at the brain structures to help us to really understand why we might feel like this. We chose a number of different things that impacted positively and negatively on our mental health. As a group we decided that working together, talking to each other and helping each other out was important to all of us.
We spent one of the afternoons working together to create dens. We all enjoyed this and made some fantastic structures.
We thoroughly enjoyed making our stepping stones to enhance the wooded area for all learners and are looking forward to seeing them enjoy learning how to recognise numbers whilst having fun.
We finished the week off with an indoor picnic.
Super work 11R - you have really challenged yourselves and you have all shown good levels of maturity on some challenging subjects which has been wonderful to see.
