Here is what 7A have got up to this week for Sports Week!

Monday was our first day of Sports Week. We got off to a fantastic start by joining in with a warm up with Mrs McDonnell on Teams. We all stood up and followed her lead, she kept us wanting more so when she finished Connor and Josh picked some more songs for us to keep moving to. Mrs Fisher and Jake completed a press up challenge together, Jake won by a mile and Mrs Fisher couldn’t move her arms above hip height for the rest of the week as a result!!!

Monday afternoon we designed our own football kits and then split into two teams to have a go at the Egg and Spoon race. Big thank you to Miss Riley and Willow Class who very kindly let us borrow their resources. We had lots of fun (and lots of cheating going on too!).

On Tuesday we had two activities to take part in: rugby and football. In 7A we have a lot of football fans so we had lots of excited learners who were raring to play. We all enjoyed trying something different and having a go at rugby, practicing throwing the ball to each other as well as kicking it as far as we could.

On Wednesday it was time for an Orienteering challenge, organised by some of the 11R pupils. We split into teams to complete the challenge, special mention must go to Connor and Jake who completed the entire challenge independently- super work boys! We were all struggling to find the last stamp that should have been in through outdoor classroom, we had all looked everywhere. Can you guess where it was? In Amelia’s bag! Luckily, Amelia was happy to share and we returned the stamp so that everyone else could complete the challenge too.

On Thursday we enjoyed our rainbow run/walk. We all enjoyed getting our hearts beating fast for this challenge! In the afternoon, we used the parachute to play parachute games. We practiced controlling balls using the parachute and played swapping games running under the parachute. It was so much fun!

Today we have enjoyed the basketball challenge. We have some budding sports people in 7A - we all demonstrated some brilliant skills!

We have loved sports week! Thank you to the Me and My Body team for organising such fantastic activities for us.
