This week we have had so much fun exploring all different types of sports with our class and celebrating Miss Curry’s birthday!

Every morning we have started our day with a dance class. Everyone has had so much fun joining in and learning new moves, even the teachers have been having a go. Well done, Oak class!

We kicked off the week with a big football game. We scored lots of goals in the mini nets and worked very hard to control the ball with our feet.

We were so good at football that we all decided to have a go at rugby! We did fantastic sharing and encouragement with all our class friends. During our rugby we passed the ball to each other and had a go at kicking the ball across the field it was so much fun.

A small group explored the school grounds. While orientating we completed our stamp worksheet. We worked well as a class team helping each other explore. Back in class we made each other a medal using our kind words to tell our friends what they have especially been good at during Sports Week.

Oak class have a keen interest in football so this week we used this during our learning, especially while watching the highlights of the Euros. Everyone has used their fantastic writing skills to write the player's names and numbers off the back of their shirts. It’s been lots of fun watching everyone getting involved in the matches cheering for the teams.

We’ve also been practicing our turn taking skills with a game of racing on Mario Kart. It was so much fun and we were so good at driving!

Well done to Bobby for getting star of the week for fantastic basketball skills. Well done Bobby.
