It has been a very busy couple of weeks in 7P. We have had a brilliant time and can't wait to share all of the photographs with you.

7P were very lucky and got to take Coco out for a walk during golden time. She is so friendly and fluffy and we all really enjoyed ourself. 
We continued to work on different My Thinking and Problem Solving Skills, including Shape. We worked on sorting shapes, using them to build patterns and remembering some of the names! 

7P got our bodies moving last week but having a go on the body boards. We have used them before but we had some mini races and got used to using them in different ways, lying on our tummys, sitting on them and oushing ourselves along. Miss Hendy even joined in on the race but she wasn't very good! 

The rest of this half term has been very spooky and messy! It has been Halloween in 7P! We started the week by emptying some pumpkins, making our own ghost pom pom games, and taking part in an Attention Autism with Miss Hendy! This was fun as Miss Hendy had some Halloween themed toys and blew lots of colourful bubbles in the ghosts! We then went pumpkin picking from Astley Park's very own Pumpkin Patch! We picked a very big pumpkin which was heavy, and used a wheelbarrow to take it back around to our class. We then worked together to carve our pumpkin after emptying the inside. 7P also decorated their own pumpkin cookies which were very very yummy!

Later on this week, 7P decorated our pumpkin with a very bright purple. We also had as go at rescuing some creatures from the very gooey pumpkins in the tuff tray using hands, tweezers and scoops! Some of us practiced our cutting skills, threading and gross motor skills. 7P have also had a go at some mark making and writing Halloween themed words with chalk to improve their letter formation. As well as this 7P have improved their communication skills by taking part in role play and taking turns while playing pairs. 

To finish off the week 7P made their own Salt Spider Webs and had a go at some Halloween Games. Some of these were very tricky, particularly pick up pumpkin but everyone tried really hard! We also had some super costumes from everyone, and we were very lucky to win the pumpkin carving competition! Great work 7P!

Well done 7P you have worked so hard this half term. We are looking forward to seeing you after the holidays!
