Good afternoon all,
Let’s begin with our Star of the week. This weeks winner is the magnificent Jake! Jake, as always has tried his best all week and been a super friend, but what caught all the teams eye this week was his determination and perseverance when accessing his school swimming lesson. Jake made us all so proud swimming 25 meters unaided and staying calm and cool as he did it. Well done Jake!
Well the weather may have changed, but that hasn’t damped 8A spirits and work ethic this week. Along with swimming and our cafe visits the pupils have progressed their independent travel skills by beginning to catch the bus to destinations further away. Mrs Devlin has reported back that all the pupils have represented the school in a positive manner, showing manners and respect when getting on the bus. Way to go team!
In our Me and My Body lesson the class have continued to learn more about Volleyball by practicing the ‘set shot’ and to cool down participated in a guided mediation.
My Communication has seen the class continue celebrating Black History Month by researching and writing about Mary Seacole. The pupils all made great fact files about Mary Seacole at their levels of literacy and independence.
My thinking and problem solving sessions have continued to support the classes knowledge of place value and Fridays baking session saw the pupils start to work with greater independence in our last week of biscuit baking with some real life sabotage added to promote problem solving.
I hope that you have enjoyed looking and reading about the pupils busy week. They are all starting to make such great progress!
Have a fabulous weekend.
Mr Massey
