This week was World Religion Week and 8A found out lots of things related to Hinduism. Some of the class were able to join 7A on a trip to the Hindu Temple in Preston. We found out about the different gods and were able to look around the beautiful temple.
Our community based trips also continue, where we are able to practice life skills. One of our new venues is Cappuccino@the hub on Buckshaw Village. It has a lovely outside area too. We catch the 119 bus to the cafe and are building our confidence travelling on the public buses.
For our other community visits we are visiting Asda to buy ingredients for our Cooking and Nutrition groups. This week we made tomato soup. The pupils all brought a sample home on Friday, we home you managed to taste some. Chopping onions was not a task many of the pupils particularly enjoyed.
Walking back to school from Asda we were lucky enough to see a fire engine and the firefighter showed us some of the equipment and allowed us to take some picture. Another great week in 8A
Our Star of the Week this week was Daniel for being very thoughtful and kind.
