Well as the end of term gets closer, 8A enjoyed their last trip to Lytham St Anne’s. This week the learners all enjoyed a chippy lunch at the Cafe on the Pier and an ice cream from the kiosk later. Everyone had great fun playing on the beach. Some of us flew a kite for the first time ever.
In swimming this week Teegan got her 10m award, Joseph and Jake got their 25m award. The learners really have excelled themselves this half term with their commitment and perseverance.
We have been busy looking after the vegetables in the polytunnel. The tomatoes are getting bigger but are still green. The beetroot and spring onions are getting ready to be harvested which gave Miss Bentham an idea for Cooking and Nutrition. Our parents and carers came for Sharing our Learning and were able to see how well everything has grown.

We’ve continued our work on 3D shapes and using nets we made our own.

Now onto Cooking and Nutrition, the learners made Beetroot Brownies. They were all very reluctant about the recipe but were amazed at the end result. They took some taster samples around school and they were  a huge success. Hopefully some have made it home for you to try!  The recipe is in the album as the pupils came back into school on Monday saying they were a hit and parents wanted the recipe. Have fun making them.
Our Star of the Week this week is Joseph for his fantastic effort at swimming, great work on 3D shapes and a great performance of Dancing Dinosaurs in My Creativity. Well done Joseph.

Have a lovely weekend everyone, just 1 more week to go until the holidays.
