This week Chestnut Class learners have been continuing to explore different toys and play skills as part of our topic, ‘In the Toy box’. The focus has been ‘dollies’ and we have been modelling different verbs relating to our interactions with these. We have enjoyed Attention Autism sessions to support our joint attention skills and focussed our attention to practise a modelled action linked to dollies such as ‘washing/feeding/pushing’ during Stage 3. We have had lots of fun looking in mirrors and sensory trays to find our own photos and baby pictures and decorated ginger bread babies in Food tech. We have really enjoyed engaging with the props during our sensory story, ‘10 Little Fingers and 10 Little Toes’.
