Friendship week in 7P.

All this week 7P have been celebrating “Friendship Week” in different ways.

In food tech, whilst half of 7P went to Asda, the rest made some Friendship cookies.

The learners made sure that they made enough cookies for them to take one cookie home and enough for them and their friends from 7P to have in snack time.

Hope you enjoyed them at home and I know 7P enjoyed them in class.

Also this week we were able to wear odd socks to celebrate “Friendship Week” and to support anti-bullying. It was great seeing all the different patterned, coloured socks that 7P learners and staff were wearing.  I bet the staff who went shopping after work had some odd looks lol.

7P also coloured in a friendship bracelet and when they had finished, they gave it to any peer within class. What lovely friends you all are 7P.

We also watched a couple of PowerPoints too.

First one was about anti bullying. We explained what bullying was. The learners did some really good listening throughout. To go along with this PowerPoint the class looked at how they could be a “good friend”. They said they would be kind, good at sharing, use kind and caring words and do good turn taking just naming a few.

The next PowerPoint was on Friendship. We looked at all the qualities on how to be a good friend. Then the activity after the learners were choosing different elements on being a good friend and what they wanted in a good friend.

We also were very sensible on Monday and listened to a story all about Remembrance Day and why we show respect on this day. We then went outside and completed the 2 minute silence very sensibly, well done 7P. We then used our art skills and made a lovely background of the soldiers using different paint colours. Well done for being very sensible and respectful 7P.

To finish off Friendship Week, it was “Children in Need”. It was great seeing all the learners in their own clothes and we had some great bright colours and Pudsey bear clothes. Whilst some were doing water based therapy, the pupils listened to a story all about Pudsey and his lost bandana. We then had a super time dancing to the Pudsey song. Finally 7P had fun getting messy and painted a life sized Pudsey bear and a Pudsey mask.

Have a great weekend.
