This week started with Picture News again. This week we had to think answer the question 'Should you be allowed to build homes anywhere?'. We talked about what it would be like if people started to build houses in the middle of the track or in the middle of Astley Park. We also thought about what else would need to be built alongside these houses, what it would cost and what it would bring to the area.

In maths this week, we have continued to learn about and use the four operations. All learners how now been introduced to the 'X' symbol and are using this to solve problems in our lessons.

This week was World Religion Week. The religion we learnt about was Christianity, so we first created a fact file about things we researched online about Christianity. Later in the week, we learnt about the Church and the different areas inside it.

On Tuesday, we had our first visit to All Seasons for our PE lessons. This term we are learning to play football. We started by learning to dribble the ball in a straight line, then avoiding obstacles. We then worked with a partner to develop our passing and stopping. At the end of the lesson we combined all of these skills.

On Wednesday we visited Runshaw college. We came away with some varied opinions but it was great to see another option for after Astley Park.

Thursday saw us head to Beacon Fell Country Park. It was a beautiful day where we could all sit together at the picnic benches to have lunch outside before we go onto the bus to drive around and see the different areas of the park.

On Friday we visited Cardinal Newman college. On this visit we were shown around by a student of the college, who was really able to give our learners a personal visit around the college.

Our Star of the Week was Teegan, for being a lovely friend in class this week. Well done Teegan!
