This week in chestnut class we have been exploring and learning all about farm animals.
The children have enjoyed joining in with lots of Attention Autism activities. We have had fun singing songs and exploring foods that are grown on the farm. We did some vegetable counting and sorting, each child with their own tray. George was very keen to have a taste of the apples, yummy! We really liked learning and having a go at pretending to milk a cow, using a glove with water and paint to look like milk.
After learning all about cows and the milk they make, we all had a go at making some yummy chocolate milkshakes. Jan really enjoyed mixing the milkshake powder and couldn’t wait to have a taste. Noah enjoyed stirring the milkshake and did some super pouring from the jug into his cup.
We also had lots of fun getting creative, making a sheep from a paper plate using wool and wobbly eyes.
Jan, Noah, and George worked really hard singing ‘Old McDonald had a Farm’, and then played an animal matching game. After this we all took part in an animal hunt, using the animal prints to discover where each animal was hiding.
We have had a lovely week in school learning all about the farm animals,
Stay safe and enjoy the weekend,
