Well another busy week and the last one before the summer holidays. Mrs Clarke and Mrs Down went on a special delivery mission to drop a little gift off to say thank you for all your hard work. I bet those sweets didn't last long? We would love to see pictures of your sunflowers too. Once you have planted them and looked after them make sure you take some photographs. I wonder how tall they can grow?
Mrs Devlin and Miss Zara were busy in school doing lots of craft activities and a hilarious drama activity. We definitely think drama club would be great for some of you. Michael and Robyn have mastered the art of speaking like a teacher a bit too well but they made us laugh!
Miss Zara taught us how to make an amazing lasagne, and we made the white sauce using all the right ingredients and not a packet mix. The smell through the corridors from the food tech room made everybody hungry.
We made our own time capsule and buried them in the school grounds. Inside we wrote about what is happening around the world a put some items in that we thought would interest the person who finds them. Michael is determined he will remember where he has buried it in Year 11 and go back and dig it up.
As a treat we had a McDonald's for lunch on Thursday. The classroom was very quiet as we all tucked in and enjoyed our treat.
So all that needs to be said now is thank you for being absolute superstars throughout your time in Year 8 and we know you will continue to work hard in your new Year 9 class. Have a great summer, Mrs Clarke, Mrs Down,Mrs Devlin and Miss Zara.
