Willow class have had two special theme days to enjoy this week- Remembrance Day and Children in Need.
On Wednesday 11th we looked at what Poppy Day means to us and how it’s nice to show we are grateful and show respect. We all are very respectful in Willow class and are trying to hard to follow our class motto “be kind”. We can name lots of different things we do to be respectful like showing good listening and letting people share their thoughts.
In the afternoon we focused on the lovely bright poppies and experimented with our artistic choices by making our own poppy art from lots of different creative materials! We even made some outside artwork to share with our friends in different bubbles to make them smile.
On Friday it was Children in Need day, where we all came in our own clothes to raise money for children that might not be as lucky as us. Some children discussed what children in need does to help others and we agreed it was a good thing to take part in. In nurture time we had some extra Pudsey activities to explore, using our fine motor skills to make Pudsey paintings and create a giant collaborative Pudsey colouring.
During our “Physical development and Healthy lifestyles” lesson we tried a range of fun Pudsey themed activities to work on our fine motor and gross motor movements. We took part in a Pusey workout with Joe Wicks, played what time is it Mr Pudsey outside, enjoyed trampolining, and created felt Pudsey faces. Then in the afternoon, it was time for golden time and celebration assembly to reveal our star of the week.
Great work Willow class!
