This week in 11R we have been celebrating world religion week and have been learning all about Judaism. We have taken part in TEAMs calls with our remote learners so that we could all find out about Judaism together. Logan, Ryan and Steven were happy to see their friends and it was wonderful to see how hard they have been working from home.
Together we learnt about bar mitzvah’s and bat mitzvah’s, which are Jewish ceremonies for teenage boys and girls. We found out that the celebrations happen in a Jewish place of worship called a Synagogue and that the teenagers read from a special scroll called a Torah. We even had a go at writing invitations to our own bar/bat mitzvah’s. The learners in class and those remote learning have been working super hard and we are so impressed!
