The children in Chestnut have been using a little wishful thinking this week and exploring ‘The Beach’.
In Class we really enjoyed a funny Ice Cream Splat session. We each got a turn to splat Miss Heaton’s ice creams until there were none left!!!
We then had a go at following instructions to make our own ice creams using cones, sauce, and sprinkles. We did some super requesting for all the different ingredients. They were very yummy!!
We have also had a go at making our very own sensory bottles. We enjoyed using water, oil, and blue food colouring to create an ocean in a bottle. They are very calming to watch.
Our friends who are learning at home have also been very busy….
Harrison has done some AMAZING communication whilst playing a game with Mummy and Daddy, he was looking at pictures and then pointing to what he could see on an ‘I can see …. board’. We were all very proud when we saw the video!
Austin has been getting busy practising saying his letters, counting, singing his favourite rhymes, and reading lots of books. Austin also had a go at sorting winter clothes and summer clothes…. Phew what a busy boy!!!
Luke has been practising his 1 to 1 counting using counters. His Mummy said he has been trying so hard! He has also been enjoying spelling out different words using letters and doing lots of imaginative drawing. Great work Luke!!
This week we have got not 1, but 2 stars in Chestnut Class ……. Harrison and Luke. Well done boys
