This week we have been very busy in Sycamore class. Our theme has been ‘Different Families, Same Love’ we have looked at how families may vary and what family means to us. We enjoyed seeing our friends and listening to the story of ‘Part of the Party’ and hearing how the plan for the party had changed so that everyone could go to the party.
We have been busy making ‘My Family’ Paper Chains. This required us to fold the paper and cut out the figure to make our paper chain, from there we designed each little figure to look like a member of our family. We was very impressed with how they turned out, they looked great! We have enjoyed seeing the pictures our friends from home have been sending in that they have drawn of their families.
On Wednesday we enjoyed our teams call with our friends and Miss Troughton. We focused on making a rainbow for My Creativity, we observed the activity and had a go ourselves, using felt tips to colour on tissue, we then put the tissue into water and observed what happened, we noticed that as the water was being absorbed by the tissue the “colour was going up”, “the colour was mixing” and “it was making a rainbow”.
Scavenger hunt! Sycamore class went on a scavenger hunt. We used our senses to work out what we could see, hear, taste, smell and feel. It was great fun being outside in the nice weather!
We have loved seeing work from our learners at home, they have been producing some fantastic work and have been working so hard at home which is great. We absolutely love seeing their progression. Keep going everyone you are doing a great job!
