This week in Rowan class we have been celebrating ‘Different Families, Same Love’.
We listened to a story ‘The Family Book’ and learnt about different families. We talked about who lives in our houses and what we love about them.
On Tuesday Mrs Carney did an Attention Autism session and we looked at different rainbows. We created our own water rainbow using coloured tissue paper and water. We watched the colours run and mix together.
We also continued to read our story about The Tiger Who Came To Tea and the children had some lovely discussions about how they would feel if a Tiger Came to tea at their house! How do you think you would feel?? We then did some great colourful semantics work and some story sequencing so well done everyone!
On Wednesday we produced some great work for our Different families, same love where the children in Rowan drew a picture of everyone in their family and then did some lovely writing of the names of family members and some sentences all about their family.
On Thursday we had a TEAMs call with our friends from Rowan class and attended an Attention Autism session learning about different families from our favourite tv programme. We painted rainbow hearts using bubble wrap to make a fantastic paint effect. And it was Jaden’s birthday so we sang Happy Birthday and enjoyed a slice of cake together.
What a super week we have had!
Have a lovely weekend everyone!
