A lion in cornflakes? We listened to the story of The Lion in Cornflakes and had a go at making our own lions. Some of us used paint, some used colours and some of us did cutting and sticking. We all enjoyed making some brilliant lions. Roarrrrrrrr.
Sycamore had a lovely time making sycamore spinning helicopters. We had to really think which parts we was supposed to cut, which to fold like a mountain and which to fold like a valley. We designed our own and enjoyed test flying them! We used an in-task schedule to help us work out what was next.
We enjoyed some Lego therapy this week, making a chicken. We listened well to our friends, focussed on finding the right piece and double checking with our friends that we had found the piece they had described. Great team work Sycamore.
Sycamore has been continuing with their outdoor and indoor movements, we have been moving like animals, thinking about how we hold ourselves and how we move when we perform everyday tasks like walking the dog, mixing a cake, dragging a bag. We also had to think and move like we are performing at the circus and visiting the zoo. We have been working on our throwing and catching with our friends, working in groups of two and three.
We had a wonderful time making some biscuits this week with our friends, we used flour like the Little Red Hen did to make our biscuits. We have written some wonderful sentences this week using the story of The Little Red Hen to help us, our letter formation is looking great. We have also been busy with lots of maths work, looking at our own personal targets.
We are super proud of everyone in Sycamore this week.
Hope you all have a great weekend.
