7A have had a very busy week learning all about Diwali. 
The children have been amazing this week asking lots of questions and showing lots of interest learning about Diwali ‘the festival of light’ . 
We have read the story or Rama and Sita and answered questions to show our understanding of what happened. We looked over each day of Diwali and how Hindu people celebrate things differently each day . The children have worked well in groups and supported their friends when they needed help. 
 

We have explored our arty side when we looked at the different ways to create rangoli patterns and displayed them in class. We also got very messy painting our hands and decorated elephants using different shapes and patterns. 
The children got busy and created different henna patterns and coloured them in beautifully on a large A3 hand outline. 
 

During this week we have also talked about ways to keep safe this weekend at bonfire night . We had some fun using different techniques to create bonfire and firework pictures, using paint, glueing and sticking.
