Dodd Group had a fabulous second day at Calvert Trust after a good nights sleep.
We had a yummy breakfast and then went up Dodd mountain to complete some challenges such as a scavenger hunt and a photo challenge. We worked together really well and had great fun exploring the woods. We walked back down the mountain collecting leaves and flowers to create our own bookmarks to take home with us to remember our time at Calvert. It was so much fun!
After lunch, we got on the minibus and drove to a cycle track. We had a great time on the special bikes, riding round the old air field and looking at the lovely scenery. We then had a bike race to finish - Oscar won! Wow!
Before returning to Calvert, we sat in the gardens in the middle of the cycle track for an awards ceremony. We all received a certificate and talked about our favourite memories from Calvert trust. Luca and Ollie said they enjoyed playing dodgeball in the swimming pool together; Tig and Lola enjoyed playing football in the sports hall; Oscar enjoyed swimming with Sophia; Sophia said her favourite memory was Oscar winning the bike race because he did good teamwork with Mrs Crouch; Millie loved playing on the bikes and going fast; Chris enjoyed swimming in the swimming pool and putting the bubbles on; Mrs Mahood liked canoeing best because it was a beautiful sunny day and she enjoyed watching everyone trying new things and being brave; Miss Beck said she liked canoeing and the water walk because everybody helped each other; Mrs Crouch loved canoeing because she loved looking at the scenery; and Lou liked canoeing because it was our first activity and everybody helped get the boats out. Mrs Crouch is especially proud of 7P for making good choices and trying their best even though all their usual teachers couldn’t make it to Calvert Trust with us. We are so so proud.
To end the day, we enjoyed a disco with all of year 7 and year 10. It was lots of fun!
I hope you enjoy looking at all our photos with your families this weekend 7P! Well done!
