On Tuesday it was World Down Syndrome Day, we all wore odd socks in support. Everyone loved looking at each other’s socks and chose favourites. We coloured in socks in lots of different colours, read the story ‘We are all different’ then discussed and came up with 3 things each about what makes us special. Some of us were very kind and said things we thought we special about our friends.
In P.E this week we were working on our gross motor skills. We did a Joe Wicks for kids workout, we practiced starjumps, burpees, boxing and rope climbs. To say we were hot, sweaty and exhausted is an understatement!!!
We were all very excited on Wednesday as our photo frames had arrived for Miss Wells lesson. We found our designs we had done previously and set to work. We enjoyed painting them ready for our photo booth lesson. There was lots of fantastic designs and plenty of glitter about. We are really looking forward to next week in the photo booth.
Our community visit this week was to Tesco café. Everybody chose their own snacks and paid the cashier, Miss Robertson said we all did really well. We sat with our friends and had a nice chat about what we were doing over the weekend. We were very respectful about the other people in the café by acting very maturely and chatting quietly.
Friday’s lesson was all about personal hygiene, we learnt about how to look after our bodies.
We used our iPads to look for facts about personal hygiene, made a poster and wrote sentences.
We discussed what we need to do to keep ourselves clean and knew products we could use to help, like shower gel, shampoo, sponges, toothbrushes and toothpaste.
Friday afternoon some of us made pancakes and some had Golden Time in class. We have had a busy week!!
7A hope you all have a great relaxed weekend ready for our last week in school before Easter.
