A very productive week first week back in sycamore !!

Welcome back !
Hit the ground running this week with some amazing digital art work . The children looked at digital images and used their words to talk about what they could see. The children then recreated the art work by using colours on the same image and adding in a printed photograph of themselves.

In maths this week the children have looked at pictograms. The children learned how to retrieve information from a pictogram and what this means .

In a different group maths work looked a little different and we looked at matching number to quantity up to 5. We sang some number songs and really enjoyed using our fingers to count and look at how many left .

This week we have enjoyed reading a story all about the farm . The children shared their knowledge about what sounds animal make and what their baby names are . All the children have really enjoyed engaging in some lovely role play small world in the ‘on the farm’ tray .

On Friday we celebrated our differences and similarities by looking at our families and our family tree. We made a family album and drew pictures of ourselves and our family members. The children loved talking about their families and shared lovely stories about things they like about their family members .

What a busy week we have had ,with some excellent engagement in sycamore class .
