This week Chestnut learners have explored all things ‘Autumn’. During daily Attention Autism sessions we have been anticipating and tracking exciting items from the bucket and during Stage 2 have been focussing our attention further to watch confetti fall like the leaves from the trees, a flour sieve to reveal a hedgehog and colourful and glitter leaf prints and so we are so proud of your attention and spontaneous communication in these sessions! In Music sessions we are selecting instruments, participating to follow a beat to the songs we hear and working together as a group. During Food Technology Mrs Lane brought pumpkin biscuits and we expressed our choices of colours of icing using a core board and carefully iced our biscuits to enjoy at snack time. In Art sessions we are exploring different textures and made our very own hedgehogs using play doh and pasta. On Thursday we participated in a simple circuit in the hall with support to transition to the different equipment and taking turns.

Wow what a week! Well done Chestnut Class.
