It’s been great to see our fantastic Willow pupils back in school and we have all enjoyed hearing about what they did in the holidays.
On Tuesday, we celebrated Halloween by holding a party in class. Children were invited to wear fancy dress costumes, they made Halloween crafts, they played party games and enjoyed watching Mrs Crook make a spooky witch’s brew. On Wednesday, a small team took part in a bowling competition organised by Chorley Sports Partnership. They competed against other local primary schools and came first! Josh won a special award for scoring the highest number of points in the whole competition! The team returned to school with medals and trophies - we are all very proud of them. Whilst they were gone, the rest of the class had fun playing some games in class relating to road safety and impressed us with their skills and knowledge. Thursday’s lessons included money maths in the morning and a sensory story of Goldilocks and the three bears in the afternoon. Everyone was invited to try the porridge and we had a demonstration of some fantastic drama skills when some of the children performed the roles of the bears and Goldilocks. On Friday we did some reading and writing tasks about the story in the morning, then we enjoyed golden time and celebration assembly in the afternoon.
Congratulations to Leon who is our star of the week.
