Astley Park School are proud to be celebrating World Religion Week next week (15/01/24-19/01/24).

Each class has been allocated a different religion to learn about though a variety of lessons and experiences across the week. Please see the list below to see what religions individual classes will be learning about;

  • Beech & Chestnut – Buddhism
  • Maple, Oak & Rowan – Hinduism
  • Sycamore & Willow – Islam
  • 7A & 7P – Judaism
  • 8A & 8P – Buddhism
  • 9A & 9P – Sikhism
  • 10A – Christianity
  • 11R & 11G – Hinduism

 

A home-learning challenge has also been set for learners across school. Please see our challenge poster above. We really hope you will all join in!

For each challenge completed you will be in with the chance to win a certificate and a shout out in our Star of the Week Assembly on Friday 19th January from Mr Welsh - How exciting!

  • 1 challenge completed = a Bronze Award Certificate
  • 3 challenges completed = a Silver Award Certificate
  • All 5 challenges completed = a Gold Award Certificate

Please share photos and videos of you completing the challenges to earn your points! These can be shared via Evidence for Learning or with your class teacher.
