This week Chestnut have enjoyed exploring utensils from the kitchen as part of our House and Homes topic.

We enjoyed Stage 2 AA watching Miss Spear create a fabulous recipe using flour and cream and took turns to sprinkle using a colander.

During Maths themed AA we watched as Miss created a house using different shapes then watched as she blew rainbow confetti using a funnel. We took turns in a small group to copy the modelled action and enjoyed the colourful mess!

In Food tech we continue to practise our spreading and cutting skills with visual instructions and less adult support. This week we chose chocolate spread.

This week some learners travelled to Asda in the school minibus with our Class Governor Mick Maher to locate items needed for snack time and exchanged coins as part of My Thinking and Problem Solving. On Monday during art activities we made mixes of primary colours to form secondary colours and labelled them. During PSHE we have been labelling parts of our body through song, images and creating play doh people.
