On Thursday 21st March Chestnut Class celebrated World Down Syndrome Day. The theme this year is # End the Stereotypes. The day is represented by lots of socks because chromosomes look like socks! We wore brightly coloured socks or odd socks, designed socks using the primary colours and balloons to print and matched and sorted lots of socks! During Attention Autism we watched Miss create a huge pair of socks and we chose the colours to splat on them then during Stage 3 we made them even jazzier by sprinkling coloured foil-they were fabulous! Chestnut Class learners thoroughly enjoyed the day and had lots of fun celebrating this special day.
