8P celebrated Rainbow Day on Friday by learning about how families around the world are all different. For example, some families have two mums, some families have two dads, some families have a mum and a dad, and some families have two mums and two dads. We also discussed how there are also single-parent families.

We watched a couple of lovely video stories on YouTube, including one about a real story of two male penguins who fell in love and adopted an egg.

We painted rainbows and talked about the reason why rainbows are used as a symbol: to celebrate everyone's differences.

We also took part in the whole school Rainbow Day parade.
