On Tuesday this week it was International Men’s Day, this celebrates men's achievements and contributions while addressing critical issues like male health, gender-based violence, and the importance of positive male role models.
7A discussed different male celebrities and the male role models around school and the qualities each one had.
We had ideas of the different qualities of each including funny, works hard, friendly and our very own Mr Staziker was funny and good at high fives.
After this 7A all decorated a beard to look like Mr Staziker and had their own, what they called ‘Staziker Army’.
We had our weekly trip to Asda to buy our food tech items and our food of the week, which was blueberries. 7A compared them to red grapes.
On Wednesday we had a birthday in class. Whilst swimming the teacher gave the class 10 minutes playtime at the end of the lesson, as everyone worked had very hard, and played ‘happy birthday’ through the loud speaker.
In Food Tech/My Thinking and problem solving 7A made and compared cheese sandwiches. Some chose grated cheese others chose cheese slices. Learners then compared all the sandwiches, we had some cut in triangles, some into two and some into 4 squares.
Everyone then had the chance to taste the sandwich they had made and throughly enjoyed them.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend.
