7A have had a very busy couple of weeks.
We have worked exceptionally hard on our Thinking and Problem solving, using cubes to measure different things and solving number problems.
In My Creativity everyone has been learning to play ‘3 Little Birds’ on the xylophone and more recently, the recorder. Everybody has worked really hard at playing the correct notes. Well done!!
7A tried Guava as their new food, a lot said it was very similar to a pear and loved it.
7A have had a couple of celebrations over the last few weeks, International Women’s day and Holi.
International Women's Day is celebrated on 8 March, commemorating women's fight for equality and liberation along with the women's rights movement. International Women's Day gives focus to issues such as gender equality, reproductive rights, and violence and abuse against women. For International Women’s day we all discussed what this meant then chose a woman who we admired and wrote about them.
In PE we are continuing to work on our adventurous activities. We joined in lots of different physical and teamwork skills. 7A showed great enthusiasm through each aspect.
Holi is a Hindu festival that celebrates spring, love, and new life.
Some families hold religious ceremonies, but for many Holi is more a time for fun. It's a colourful festival, with dancing, singing and throwing of powder paint and coloured water. Holi is also known as the "festival of colours".
7A joined in the Holi celebrations in school, during our celebrations we participate in the colour run and as you can see they really enjoyed throwing the powder paint.
Thank you to everyone who attended, it was great to see so many of you.
