Comic Relief 80s theme

 

Today at Astley Park it was Comic Relief day and we had an 80s theme. 

It was great seeing the learners in their own clothes, especially the brightly coloured T-shirts, leg warmers and tutus. The staff also joined in with their dress wear!

 

The school had a 1980s dance session lead by our very own Miss Amis, and of course there was no stopping 7P joining in with the fun of dancing to 80s music. 

It was hard to see who was enjoying it more at one stage, learners or staff. 

 

After the fun dance session, 7P came inside for a little rest and watched a video on all of the work that comic relief does and how the charity has been helping children in Africa and around the world over the years. The learners all chatted through the Comic Relief PowerPoint and discussed what we could do to help the children less fortunate than us. After that the learners then coloured in some pictures of people and children playing games and wrote a message to the children that comic relief helps.
