What a busy week in 8A.

On Tuesday 8A learnt all about a new Superflex character.

It was called Worry Wall.

Worry Wall distracts our brains and causes us to get worried about something, which can lead us to feel stressed.

Miss Della Fera discussed with everyone about a little worry becoming a much bigger one if we keep it to ourselves. 8A knew who they could speak to if they were worried about anything.

Each learner was given a piece of paper with a shape of a brick on it. On the brick they wrote down two things that made them feel worried. Once this was done they went outside to build a “worry wall” Each learner was then given a water balloon to throw at the worry wall until all the worries were gone.

On Friday there was a visit from the ladies from the Guide Dog Association.

The ladies bought along a special visitor and everybody was very excited….Ned the dog came.

8A learnt how to groom a dog, put harnesses and leads on and then they all one by one hid treats in toy and said “Ned, come” and Ned would come and retrieve the treat.

8A asked lots of relevant questions and listened intently to the answers. They all throughly enjoyed seeing Ned and he certainly had lots of treats.

Well done 8A!!

Hope you all have a lovely weekend.
