Sycamore have had a very busy week continuing their learning in their ‘All About Me’ topic. We have continued to learn about our new classroom and friends, talking about our likes and dislikes and thinking about what we have in common too.
This week our learning has had a bigger focus on our bodies, learning more about the Alert Programme and recognising our emotions; we are looking at increasing our understanding of activities that can help us regulate our emotions.
We have explored our own bodies, looking at and labelling body parts and using mirrors to create self-portraits and write sentences about ourselves. We have enjoyed ‘What’s in the Box’ activities and painted portraits taking turns adding different features that we could see on ourselves.
On Thursday we even looked at our bodies from a different perspective. We explored how our bodies work inside looking at how lungs work and what our happens to food when we eat it.
Great work Sycamore! Your teachers are very proud of all your hard work this week.
