In Sycamore this week we have scored goals, scored tries, collected stamps whilst orienteering, danced, ran, walked, used the different equipment and most importantly we have had so much fun!

We have worked on our skills, learnt new skills, designed our sports weeks rules together and discussed how to be a good sport. Together we decided that Sycamore’s Sports Week rules should be ‘support your friends’, ‘have a go at every activity’, ‘listen to instructions’, ‘kind hands’, ‘kind words’, ‘no cheating’ and to ‘have FUN!’

We fully enjoyed making our bunting by colouring in flags, laminating them and fixing together.

We have continued with our story of ‘The Treasure of Captain Claw’ and done a pirate scavenger hunt seeking items that reminded us of pirate items from our story. We have looked at sentence writing, working on our sounding out of words, full stops and finger spaces.

We also enjoyed another visit from Chorley Schools Sports Partnership working on our kicking skills and aiming to our friends.

Great work Sycamore!

Why not ask your child what their favourite part of Sports Week has been?
