On Monday morning we learnt about mental health week. We talked about how we felt and that our voices matter then we did some mindfulness colouring. After break we did some reading and Sound-write. After lunch we did relax to get ourselves ready for the afternoon. We then made some decorations for the valentines disco. We made paper chains and some hanging hearts on string. Then we worked together to write the blog.
On Tuesday we had Safer internet day we did research on cyber security and viruses. This is what the learners told us about what they learnt.

Jake- Anti virus software removes viruses.

Grace- Hackers use computers without permission.

Daniel- viruses can get into your electronics.
Teegan- A virus is like a cold for computers.

Ben- A clue you might have a virus is when your device keeps loading.

Gemma- Hackers can hack your bank and emails.

On Wednesday we had a fun filled day, we went swimming in the morning and showed the new swim teacher how amazing we are. Then in the afternoon we had a special trip to Chorley fire station. We got to ask the firefighters lots of questions and got to meet Brontë the therapy dog. Then two of the firefighters showed us around the fire engines and all of their apparatus. We had lots of fun and wish we had more time there.
On Thursday we looked some more at mental health and “my voice matters”. We cut out pictures of our favourite things. After break we had PE and did lots of dancing. In the afternoon we played some social games and party games for Daniels birthday. And then watched celebration assembly.

This weeks star of the week is Teegan for trying really hard, making amends and being positive. Well done Teegan.
We hope you all have a lovely half term break and will see you back after half term.
