Hello everyone!

We have had some good weather this week so I hope you have had a chance to spend some time in the sun with your families. Let’s have a look at what some of our class have been up to this week!

Liam, Jake, Owen, Hasan and Olivia all took part in our Easter egg decorating competition practicing their art skills and I have been to the post office to send prizes in the post.

Grace has done some super activities in school, learning all about Koalas making her own Koala mask and boomerang- wow! School was very lucky and was given some yummy chocolate from Poundland which Grace made into dinosaur nests as she has been learning all about dinosaurs with Miss Heaton as her teacher this week.

Hasan has been practicing his ICT skills, sending me lovely emails about what he has been up to and we have been chatting about his new fifa team. Hasan has done some fantastic fractions maths and looking at verbs in his English work.

Jake has been exploring purple mash and has drawn a fantastic Stegosaurus using the paint tools! He has also created a very tasty looking pizza. Jake has been trying some tricky work on education city, multiplying and dividing numbers by ten.

Kayla has had a great week learning how to use education city and purple mash for the first time. I recorded some videos to show Kayla step by step how to use purple mash and the same day Kayla had tried out lots of different activities and customised her own avatar! Well done at getting a Star of the Week on your first week on-roll at school, keep up the good work Kayla!

Liam has been working hard on Education City, practicing his skills telling the time and looking at 2D and 3D shapes, telling the difference between regular and irregular polygons- tricky!

Megan has been practicing her fine motor skills, creating beautiful painted pottery. Have a look at her photos, they look very intricate Megan!

Olivia has been up to lots of different activities this week. She has been a great help in the garden, using the lawnmower to cut the grass and had been on walks with her family to look at the lovely fairy walk set up in her community. Olivia has been looking after her dolls, built a super den and been colouring some lovely messages reminding us to stay positive! Olivia has also enjoyed some family time playing her frozen board game and it even looks like her cute pug Olaf was playing along!

Owen has had a very busy week! He has been working through his phonics file with mum, working on telling the time and practicing counting five more and five less. He has made a beautiful rainbow outside his house and wore his scouts uniform to clap the NHS on Thursday. Owen has practiced his fine motor skills by having a go at the cheerio tower challenge and building Lego vehicle. Owen has also been cooking more delicious treats (pizza this week) and learning to use Heeleys with the help of his older brother.

Please keep sending me all your lovely photos of what you have been up to next week and if any other children want to email me I am happy to email back, all the staff in our class have loved seeing what the children are up to.
Next week school is celebrating MADD week- a celebration of Music, Art, Dance and Drama. There will be daily videos on the school YouTube for activities children can do and I have set some activities for this on purple mash. We would love to see any pictures or videos of how the children get on,

Stay Safe! ☺️
