Sycamore’s Spook-tacular Week!

Sycamore class have had great fun within our Halloween theme, this week.

They have been very busy:

  • Working together to count out ingredients to add to the magic potions.
  • Using words and gestures to request shapes to create faces on pumpkins.
  • Using different art techniques and materials to create a range of different Halloween themed crafts. We used ‘string-art’ to create spider webs, ‘blow-art’ to create creepy ghosts and made their very own bats by carefully folding and cutting card.
  • Getting creative with their imagination making their very own creep-tastic monsters using playdough.
  • Showing off their super monster moves in playdough-gym and dance.

On Friday we had our very own Halloween party in class and we all get to dress up! We had lots of spooky characters including skeletons, wolves, bats, a witch and a pumpkin, some of us even dressed up as our favourite characters. We loved guessing what our friends were dressed up as. We then enjoyed a range of party games including pass the parcel, pin the witch on the broom, dancing, colouring and word-searches. We won lots of prizes, sweets and stickers and made our very own bag of Halloween treats to take home.

Well done Sycamore class for a super first half term - your teachers are very proud of you! We hope you all have a super week off.

Keep safe everyone,

- The Sycamore Class Team
