Hi all,

We’ve had another fun filled week in 7A this week.

Monday

We started the week with Mrs Fisher and our maths lesson, we all started the lesson by playing a game of bingo using numbers to 15 all the children chose 3 numbers they wanted and wrote them on a white board before playing against each other till we had a winner. Some of us then practiced taking away numbers to 10 using numicon to help us while Jake recapped on his 2x tables and divisions with Ms Carter before completing a activity on Maths shed.

During the afternoon we had lot’s of fun in the snow as we where unable to go on the bikes and climbing frame. We then saw some of our friends that are working from home in our snack time video call.

Tuesday

We all started the lesson today by playing a maths game on the big screen where we had to complete the pattern of shapes and colours, all the children played against each other but really pulled together to help there friends when they found it tricky, after the game some of us revisited our takeaway sums while Jake did a Kahoot! Quiz with Mrs Taylor to challenge Jake with his time’s table and division.

Tuesday afternoon, it was time for our music lesson. Today we made different sounds with either our voices or by tapping a part of our body or a object, each of us choose a sound we wanted and a colour then followed a pattern we made music using our different sounds. As you can imagine 7A was very loud during this lesson but had lots of fun!

Wednesday

During the morning we revisited our maths work 

during in the afternoon we worked towards one of our six star challenges for this week and took it in turns to choose 2 objects, we then went round the class to see which object was the heaviest and which was the lightest before weighing to see if our predictions where right or wrong.

Thursday

Thursday morning is the start of our My Communication lesson, we continued to watch other 20 mins of Toy Story, some of us used book creator and colourful semantics to create sentences to match the pictures while some of us wrote about our favourite  toy when we where little. We are all improving while writing our sentences, remembering are finger spaces, capital letters and full stops. 

Amelia completed her TEACCH box with Ms Carter before watching Bing on her iPad. Well done 7A.

During the afternoon we learned about how our bodies change when we get older, everyone in 7A was very mature and acted really grown up during this lesson before completing a Joe Wicks workout.

Friday

It’s time for this week’s star of the week assembly. 7A’s star was Jake, well done Jake. Most of us in 7A also received a bronze award for joining in with this weeks Six Star Challenge. We have enjoyed cleaning up and drinking lots of water to keep our bodies healthy, as well as exercising lots. 

We then watched the final part of Toy Story and completed some more sentences on book creator while Jake completed a review for the film, telling us what he liked about it.

Friday afternoon and it’s golden time, some of us choose to watch a film, while other’s played games on there Ipad and drew pictures before our final snack time video call with our friends at home.

What a great week we have had in 7A.
