This week Willow class have loved looking at more animals.. wild ones this time! We have enjoyed learning about all different animals that we might find in a zoo then finding out important facts like what habitats the zoos need to build for them and how they survive. We practiced our spellings, building this into our tricky work on plural and singular nouns, used the iPads to research facts and play games to learn about animal and human nutrition and even pretended to be zoo workers ourselves!
On Wednesday we did some amazing animal dancing, learning movements for each animal and singing along to create a routine, getting our hearts beating to stay healthy. On Thursday we especially enjoyed seeing our friends at home for some tricky animal bingo- Miss Riley wanted to challenge us so we all had to make our own bingo boards and she wouldn’t tell us the animals straight away- we had to guess the animal from the clues! Willow class were great at remembering if animals were nocturnal, their diets and what features they had that helped them adapt to their habitats.
Chris and Hasan sent Miss Riley photos on evidence for learning to show their understanding of animals and habitats too!
A big well done this week to Olivia who has been working so hard at home to complete tricky comprehension work, lots of science work on education city and joining in with celebration assembly! ⭐️⭐️
