Within our current theme ‘All Around the World’, Chestnut Class have been exploring their world through different seasons. This week we have been exploring ‘Autumn’.
On Thursday, Miss Cross led an Attention Autism using the colours red, brown and orange to make a hedgehog! She modelled dipping different dry leaves into the colours of paint and pressing and printing the colours on the hedgehog. All Chestnut learners were then provided the opportunity to explore leaves and paint, to make their own hedgehog, during our busy learning time. We saw lots of fantastic exploring of the materials.
In the afternoon, we focussed on our physical and regulation skills along with our social skills during parachute games fun. We encouraged the exploration of different movements and all learners showed amazing tolerance and acceptance of each other while joining in the activity together.
Super work, Chestnut Class!
