Willow class had a fantastic week last week, we are so proud of the progress they are making!
We started the week with some P.E. where we developed our striking and fielding skills in rounders. We practiced a throwing skills and our aim as we threw balls into hoops with our partners. We then practiced our batting skills.
We are doing really well with our writing and reading in Willow class, we have been reading different texts related to familiar places and have been doing activities linked to this. We wrote diary entries and new chapters to a story. We have also been doing attention autism sessions linked to our topic. Willow class showed excellent understanding of recycling this week, and helped Mrs Crook differentiate different materials into glass, paper and plastic. We discussed the importance of recycling and how we can make the world a better place! In me and my body, we have been talking about public and private. We drew around Josh’s body and labelled the body parts. We then discussed which parts should be private and which should not. The children enjoyed looking at our life sized drawing of Josh! We went on a scavenger hunt outside looking for different animal habitats. We used a key to help us find them. It was great fun exploring the outdoors. In design and technology, we have been looking and different structures to houses and the three little pigs. We designed our own house for the three little pigs and used different materials to build our own houses. This was so much fun
Well done Willow class!
