Chestnut Class have loved the snow this week and spent lots of time outdoors exploring, scooping and throwing snow balls!
In PSHE we have been focussing on identifying and recognising facial features through songs, mirrors and matching activities and creating collages.
During Food tech we have continued developing our skills to spread and cut and following an in task schedule to promote independence.
Throughout the week we celebrated world religion week and explored Buddhism. During creative tasks we painted Buddhas using stencils mixing primary colours to make different colours. We watched Miss Spear and Mrs Hyland create Buddhism symbols during Attention Autism Stage 2 using flour and paint.
During My Thinking and Problem Solving tasks with Mrs Lane children have been focussing on developing accuracy in their counting skills though songs and play.
Group 1 have attended The Space Centre today and really enjoyed the fibre optics, swing, sliding with our friends and ball pool.
Another amazing week Chestnut class, well done!
