Wow! What an absolutely fantastic day we have all had celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee at the Astley Park Funfair!! Pupils and staff have enjoyed a day full of excitement and nobody could keep a smile off their face when they walked into the school decorated in red, white and blue!
Today, the children have groomed and ridden two lovely donkeys named Del Boy and Bambi - super cute! They have climbed to the top of the inflatable Helter Skelter, sliding all the way down to the bottom. They have bounced their way through a tricky inflatable assault course, racing their friends to the finish line. Lots of children practiced using the diablos, juggling and spinning plates in the amazing circus workshop and tried their luck on all of the fairground stall including tin can alley and hook a duck! Some even had their face painted and made balloon animals!
After all of the outdoor fun, we have used our money or tickets to buy treats including hot dogs, sweetie cones, pop corn and candy floss in the hall. Thank you so much to our super Key Stage 4 pupils who worked so hard running the stalls and serving the hungry customers!
Some children watched funfair themed Attention Autism sessions and a sensory story before using props to take funny pictures in our very own photo booth! Please take a look at the fun we had bring our Curriculum Theme to life.
What a super end to another great half term at Astley Park!!
