Chestnut Class have had a week of Valentine’s Day celebrations, we have explored lots of different sensory activities related to love and Valentines Day. We have made biscuits and cards and yesterday we engaged with a Valentines themed Attention Autism.

To celebrate rainbow day chestnut class dressed in brightly coloured clothes and collages pictures of rainbows. We also had lots of brightly coloured sensory activities to explore.

This week chestnut class have explored lots of activities themed around Chinese New Year, we enjoyed the Chinese takeaway tray, using chop sticks to pick up noodles and then tried writing Chinese numbers in sensory materials using chop sticks, were a few of our favourite activities. Today we…

Chestnut had a trip out to Ashurst Country Park. It was a bit wet and windy but we still had a great time!

Some of us loved the preteens pirate ship and were playing pirates.

We went for a woodland walk, splashed in muddy puddles and found the Gruffalo!

Chestnut Class have had a lovely morning, we had breakfast in the hall which was yummy!

Our special visitor then came into class to see us and he brought us all a present - it was very exciting and we are all feeling very festive !
